Glass Cockpit has an Artificial-Horizon mode that gives you the same information a pilot would get from their glass cockpit display [This works on iPod Touch, and all iPhones!]. This can be entertaining when flying as a passenger. Even though this tool should match the commercial aeronautical system readings, it is not to be used as an aeronautical informational instrument.

*Because of an API change in iOS 4 BahnTech is unable to support this application on iOS 4.x or on the iPhone 4.

Glass Cockpit also gives you a heads-up viewfinder overlay for your camera and Artificial Horizon that includes every detail of information provided by your device including: angle, pitch, roll, altitude, speed and compass heading.

Glass Cockpit includes a full featured GPS device in-app with satellite, hybrid, and street views that can be oriented with the compass heading (hardware dependent).

Glass Cockpit has a full featured camera integrated for Burst, Time-Lapse and Landscape photography that can include the information overlay. This makes it an ideal tool for Glass Cockpit surveys or general surveying.

Glass Cockpit app good for

So many features, I have not tried all of them. I have used the camera overlay, works nice, and a good way to collect information. What I really bought it for was the Glass Cockpit part, so next week on my next Business flight I will test it out. Hopefully I get the first class upgrade. Rating=buy

fun app lots of information, alot more accurate than expected.

Was worried that it would not work on my iPodTouch but it works awesome. Now I cant wait to give a full test... maybe this week. The camera functions are not enabled, obviously, but I did not buy it to have yet another camera :)

This is a great app. I just downloaded it, and had lots of fun. It is so easy to use with the helpful instructions on screen. Great graphics, great features, and I LOVE the GPS feature!! Way to go Bahn Tech

Some bad moments

What is the big deal? This app is a total loser. Its a nice toy for the kids.

If I could have rated this a zero, I would have. I had high hopes for this-it looks so cool. But when one starts up the app-it immediately closes down on you. What fun is that?

It does not work...! I was on a flight to Texas and it didnt do anything but look nice. No speed or altitude readings. I was disappointed to say the least. Another one goes to the recycle bin.

The app seems to have some bugs with iOS4 or maybe its the iphone4 hi-def display I really couldnt say because nobody from bantech will answer my email. I hate wasting $$s even if it is just $2. If they can get this fixed I will change my review but for now, stay away!

Just downloaded on my iphone4 and it doesnt work. It show you roll and pitch but most everything is disabled. I guess I was suckered on this one :(

Beware, do not purchase version 1.1.1 Glass Cockpit, it does not work on the iPhone 4 or with OS4 on the G3 iPhone. Apparently the software developer is no longer supporting the application, as they do not respond to their email customer support. Apple should remove the application from iTunes and require the Bahn Tech Corp to refund all monies earned from the sale this worthless application.
